Event Booking & Reservations
Enabling Event Reservations
The Event Reservations add-on extends J-BusinessDirectory's Events functionality by allowing event bookings. Once installed, the site admin can enable this feature in the admin area under the events tab in general settings.
Activating the Add-On
- Go to the general settings under the events tab.
- Enable the "Event Reservations" setting.
- Once enabled, "Event tickets" and "Event reservations" menu items will display.
- Set booking start/end dates and times, and total ticket numbers at the event level.
Creating Event Tickets
The event owner can create tickets with the following details:
- Name: The ticket name
- Description: The ticket description
- Status: Publish or unpublish the ticket
- Min/Max Number of Tickets per Booking
- Ticket Price: The price per ticket
- Ticket Quantity: The available number of tickets
Tickets are listed in both the admin area and front-end control panel. Once created and published, they appear on the event's details view.
Booking Process
- The user selects the desired ticket quantity and clicks "Book now."
- The user is redirected to the guest details page to fill in their information.
- Afterward, the user proceeds to the payment page to complete the ticket purchase.
Booked tickets are listed in the event reservations section.
